SEB is a leading northern European financial services group with customer bases among both private individuals and organizations. We are consistently recognised for our expertise and customer-centric approach, which we achieve by listening to our customers, committing to quality and trust, and encouraging an entrepreneurial mindset in everything we do. Does that sound like a fit for you?
What you will be doing
At our Private Wealth Management & Family Office division, we look after all aspects of our clients’ banking needs, including the family and business finances, from daily transactions to long-term investments. We are all about long-term relationships, personal advisory, and understanding our clients’ complete financial situation. We have the experience, breadth and expertise to assist them in both large and small.
We are now looking for a Senior Wealth Planner to a newly established position in our Finnish franchise. Wealth planning is an integrated part of SEB’s holistic service offering for Private Banking and Family Office clients. SEB’s Wealth Planners are highly qualified tax and legal experts that act as a sounding board to our clients, providing information on tax and other legal matters. As a Senior Wealth Planner, you are often involved in discussions with prospective clients and work closely with our client acquisition process. The position requires extensive client contact and travelling from time to time to meet clients/prospects.
Who we are looking for
As a Senior Wealth Planner, you need to have excellent knowledge and experience of Finnish tax legislation and practices. Cross-border taxation expertise is seen as an advantage.
You are holding a Master of Law with court practice or equivalent experience; you should possess solid knowledge of private law and tax matters. You are business-oriented with an entrepreneurial spirit, have good knowledge of financial markets and investments, and enjoy the challenges of an expansive Nordic environment. As a Wealth Planner at SEB you must therefore have a very strong customer relationship- and business focus. We appreciate that you can master complex situations and challenges.
As a person, you are ambitious, highly motivated and service minded. You are proactive, structured, and solution oriented. You enjoy challenges, take responsibility for your own development and are used to work independently, but see collaboration, within Finland as well as within the division globally, as a prerequisite for your success. Experience from a Private Banking environment and/or having worked with Private Banking clients or tasks is considered an advantage. Fluency in Finnish or Swedish and English is a must.
What we offer
We offer many experiences and benefits to our employees, and there is nuance to every individual’s career experience, but the elements that define the core of our offering are:
- Friendly and welcoming culture
- Possibility to be part of an expansive strategy environment
- International opportunities and working environment
- Extensive training and learning opportunities
We are 300 colleagues in Finland, working at our activity-based office in the centre of Helsinki. Our office is designed for us – to support good collaboration and wellbeing at work. We are proud of our high engagement and job satisfaction. At SEB you can combine the opportunities of an international organisation with the responsibility, flexibility and variety of tasks enabled by our relatively small and thus agile teams in Helsinki.
It is our fundamental belief that inclusion and diversity is crucial for our future success. We strive to have an inclusive, value-driven culture where employees feel valued, respected and involved irrespective of who they are, what they believe or where they come from.
