About the Role
The position is located in our Helsinki HQ, that has everything from world-class coders to perceptive service designers and fearless business consultants – all mixed together in a petri dish of innovation, where silos are impossible to form. You will work together with our Legal team and other professionals, who come from 50 different nationalities. The position is part-time, approximately 2-3 days a week. The employment is fixed term until end of 2022 but may potentially continue to spring 2023 if we so agree during the autumn. The desired starting date would be during September 2022.
Your daily tasks will be based on current needs of the Legal team, but may include, for example, reviewing different contracts and documents, and communicating between different actors in the company. We will provide you with thrilling and diverse working environment with opportunities to grow as legal professional in a global technology company.
Your daily tasks will consist of
- Reviewing, commenting on and negotiating agreements and other documents
- Helping our teams to provide top-notch services by giving your insight in ad hoc legal issues
- Supporting our Legal team in their work by assisting in various tasks and filling in when needed
What we are looking for
You already have a good deal of studies (at least 180 ECTS) behind you, and you are really starting to get what business-oriented legal services are all about. Here's a little checklist to help you figure out if you are a match for us:
- You have at least 180 ECTS of completed legal studies
- Working proficiency in English and Finnish
- Demonstrated experience in commercial/corporate law from a law firm or in-house
- Proactive and business-oriented approach to legal issues
- Motivated to deepen your understanding in IT- law
- Strong social skills
You will also benefit from
- Background in technology/software related business or practices
- Practical experience in contract drafting and review
- Understanding IT-contracts and Legal Tech
- Extra-curricular activities such as positions in student bodies and associations
